Aaron Lavell CA alavell@wmssolutions.com.au

Aaron is a Partner at WMS and heads up our Corporate Finance Division and has over 15 years experience in chartered accounting, 4 of which were with Ernst & Young and the balance at WMS. Aaron has been involved in many public company transactions across industries including health, property, pharmaceutical and finance.
Aaron consults to a broad range of clients in the areas of GST, corporate tax, due diligence, merger and acquisition and capital raising.

David joined WMS in early 2005 as Divisional Director of our Corporate Finance Team. With over 10 years experience in the chartered accounting environment, David has specialised transaction advisory services and  corporate finance with Ernst & Young and Grant Thornton respectively, providing advice to companies within industries such as construction, manufacturing, mining, marine and pharmaceuticals.

David is a partner of WMS and has over 12 years experience in business, 2 of which were at the National Australia Bank and 2 with KPMG.

Kathryn Woodfine CA kwoodfine@wmssolutions.com.au

Kathryn joined the WMS Corporate Finance Team in March 2006 after relocating to the Gold Coast from Melbourne CBD. She commenced her career in July 2001 with a Melbourne based Chartered Accounting firm while undertaking a Bachelor of Business in Accounting at Swinburne University of Technology. Prior to joining WMS, Kathryn gained a diverse range of experience with the Myer Family Office in Melbourne.

Kathryn is a Chartered Accountant specialising in Corporate Finance who consults both private and public companies on areas including acquisition due diligence, valuations of businesses and equity, purchase price allocation advice and Australian Equivalents to International Financial Reporting Standards (A-IFRS) requirements. Throughout her career Kathryn has gained experience in industries such as health and aged care, hospitality, financial services software development and rotorcraft.

In addition to being a qualified CA, Kathryn is currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (Corporate Finance) through the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).

Stephen Holmes CA sholmes@wmssolutions.com.au

Stephen is a new partner at WMS and brings with him 19 years of experience at national firms.

Stephen specialises in tax, dealing with corporate tax issues such as restructures, tax consolidations, tax treatment of debt/equity funding and capital gains tax strategies for vendors/purchasers.

Dean Waters CA dwaters@wmssolutions.com.au

Dean joined the WMS Corporate Finance Team in April 2007.  He commenced his career in February 1999 with Brisbane based Chartered Accounting firm Johnston Rorke.  Subsequent to completing his CA qualification, Dean spent four years working in various commercial roles in London.  Prior to commencing with WMS, he worked as an analyst with the Riviera Group.  His experience extends to industries including Marine, Retail and Health & Beauty.

In addition to being a qualified CA, Dean is currently completing a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment (Corporate Finance) through the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
