What we do

WMS Legal Support is a division of WMS Chartered Accountants ("WMS"), specialising in the provision of forensic accounting and valuation services for litigation.

WMS is currently comprised of 7 partners and 48 staff making the firm one of the largest and most respected accounting firms on the Gold Coast. WMS was recently rated number 79 in the BRW Top 100 accounting firms nationally.

We have prepared numerous independent reports for the purpose of Court proceedings along with providing expert testimony both within Australia and overseas (United Kingdom and New Zealand). We also provide practical input into crafting commercial resolutions to matters.

In undertaking any assignment we are able to draw from the firm's extensive experience acting for various types of entities including publicly listed companies and clients in the following industries:

Our team

WMS Legal Support is headed by former London Serious Fraud Office forensic accountant Ian Otto.

The team is complemented by the extensive experience of partners Jeff McDermid, Aaron Lavell and Stephen Holmes (all ex "Big 4" partners or managers) who bring specialised knowledge and practical experience.

We also have a strong multi-lingual capabilities within the firm - Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, French, Korean and Portuguese.
